The upside to what happened this past week.

December 15, 2021 04:46AM
The Rams tested their depth and found out it was OK. And, the substitute players found out they can rise to the occasion.
Guys that got little to no time had to play a lot more. And under the bright lights and a huge game. That experience can't do anything but help as the season winds down and the playoffs become the likelihood.

Of course, it's only an upside when you win those games with all the subs.

Turns out we have good Oline depth. We have 3 WRs who can play every level and get deep to boot. We have a couple of CBs who can stick to their guys when asked.... even the big time WRs. And we have a new ILB in Jones that has quickly become a very good player that can do pretty much everything.

With the addition of Miller and the return of Hollins we suddenly are deep at OLB and so can keep our outside rushers fresh.

Gaines has suddenly elevated and teams can't just worry about AD rushing from the interior. Gaines can be a holy terror. And that sucker can scoot for a 312 lb. man. Plus he plays the run very well.

We see why Les went after Michel. Not flashy. Just a hard reliable runner who can play all 3 downs.
