Once Mundt went down in week 6 it's understandable they gave it several weeks to see if they could plug in Hopkins or Blanton and be OK there (it was pretty apparent they weren't). They played two bad teams in DET and HOU where it didn't really matter. But once a running team like the 49ers bludgeoned them and they knew they needed to take on more of that phase themselves why they didn't start using Noteboom coming out of the bye @GB is puzzling.
