Re: Rams have cap options in 2022

December 06, 2021 04:27AM
The Rams gain $13M in cap relief if Whit retires. [overthecap.com]

And the get another $5.5M if they cut ARob before June 1; that jumps to $7M if they designate it as a post-June 1 cut. [overthecap.com]

So let's say Whit retires and the Rams cut ARob with a post-June 1 designation. That's $20M right there.

They can gain up to $10.5M by restructuring Donald.

They can gain around $11.2M by restructuring Ramsey.

They can reduce Stafford's 2022 cap hit by $11M when they extend him.

In total, the Rams could add up to $52.7M in cap space if they maximize all of their opportunities. (Details on the restructures and extension here: [ramsrule.com] )
