4. Morris' defense is a hot mess. Blown assignments, players dropping into the incorrect spots in their zone. Miscommunication. Their attempts at pre snap disguising is a joke and not fooling anyone except his own players. Its getting late early if you know what I mean in regards to right the defense. It might be what it is.

this is not your high school zone defense. Rams do not drop to points on the field, that is not what
they do. That simply is wrong.
And when you have the best QB facing you he's going to do well, Rodgers is a top 1-2 QB in NFL

Rams gave up 2.9 yards a rush,
offense gave Packers ball inside the 30 3 times and Pack got just 13 points out of
that. And then Rams gave the pack a pick-6----
Look, Rodgers is the best QB in the game. If not the best the 2nd best. And the best
arm for sure. He's going to eat against any defense
Last year against Staley Packers ran for 190 rushing yards over 5 yards a carry
and scored 32 points without the benefit of a pick 6
they were 8/12 on 3rd downs vs Staley's D 67%
this year Rams D held Rodgers to 37% (7/19) on 3rd down
92 yards rushing, 2.9 yards a carry
the Packers started drives on the rams:
6 (stafford fumble)
27 (muffed punt)
29 (failed 4th down conversion)
they scored 13 pts from these gifts.
they scored another 6 on a pick-6
for a total of 19 pts
they only scored 17 pts on 10 non-gift drives (2 td & fg).--That happens vs MVP-caliber QB
Until somone explains that they understand match quarters/pattern matching zone defense
they are silly in trying to point out what the issues are.
Now, the real culprit, Rams offense cannot sustain drives

But, people can keep talking about a defense they don't understand, that's fine
for weeks and weeks I gor blowback from people saying this was Raheem's defense

and more and more. I was right about that.

And I am right about this defense, it was far more complex than the critics understand

But at least it is one ga. I think it's a wate to have Aaron Donald playing gap-and-a-half in a 5-1
but it does work, it just wastes some of his big-play ability. He does take some one-gap
charges but still, it hampers what he did, even under Wade . ..
I would like to see more of a mix--like NE or some other teams, but Morris runs what McVay wants
and that is Staley's scheme.
And the reason it's 15th is the talent level is off. The domino effect has caused lesser play
from the replacements. Less consistent pass rush, players have to cover longer, not getting
good breaks to the ball, lots of teams running the scheme now, teamscatching up to
it. Poor tackling, Rams letting go if the best ILBer we had, Young. Playing Reeder and a rookie
that are not good and not ready. regression by some players, some not as good as them guys they replaced
but this "guys dropping to the incorrect spot in their zones" sorry---prove it...you cannot just say it
