Re: Rams' decision to prioritize receiver depth in offseason is coming back to haunt them

I'm not sure the author realizes that the Rams look a head at their pending FAs and get their replacements ahead of time. That way guys get a year or two in the system before they have to take over as starters.

Here's who the Rams drafted and picked up as FAs or thru a trade recently, knowing these guys would be FAs this year:

John Johnson: Taylor Rapp, Nick Scott, Terrell Burgess, Jordan Fuller
Troy Hill: David Long, Jalen Ramsey, Donte Deayon, Darious Williams
Austin Blythe: Bobby Evans, David Edwards, Austin Corbett
Josh Reynolds: Van Jefferson, DJax
Samson Ebukam:Terrell Lewis, Leonard Flloyd, Justin Hollins
Michael Brockers: Greg Gaines, A'Shawn Robinson

Granted, not every move worked out. But it's pretty clear the Rams didn't get caught with their pants down with all these guys leaving, either.

How has Troy Hill played for the Browns this year?
