And that right there could be his downfall. At first we could chalk certain things about McVay up to "he's inexperienced", "he's young", "he's too smart for his own good". Well this is his 5th year on the job and yet we are seeing some things in McVay's coaching style that are still concerning. Nobody refers to him as a genius, brilliant, cunning or smart anymore. He may still be... but if so he's having issues showing it. The first thing he needs to do is give up OC duties to a real Offensive Coordinator but he won't. Even when he had one I think he still did it and they weren't much more than a clipboard holder. Listen, I don't know what the answer is. Looks like there are multiple issues with this team and coaching staff. All I know is that our chances at making a serious Super Bowl run this year are fading.
