Most people don't know that George Washington ordered the MANDATORY vaccination of the entire continental army against small pox at a time when vaccinations were super dangerous.
Had he not done so, it is quite possible that there would have been insufficient troops to win the war which brought us America.
People can take whatever sides they want but the notion that somehow it is unprecedented or unamerican is historically inaccurate.

On the 6th of January 1777, George Washington wrote to Dr. William Shippen Jr., ordering him to inoculate all of the forces that came through Philadelphia. He explained that: "Necessity not only authorizes but seems to require the measure, for should the disorder infect the Army . . . we should have more to dread from it, than from the Sword of the Enemy." The urgency was real. Troops were scarce and encampments had turned into nomadic hospitals of festering disease, deterring further recruitment. Both Benedict Arnold and Benjamin Franklin, after surveying the havoc wreaked by Variola in the Canadian campaign, expressed fears that the virus would be the army's ultimate downfall. Makes you wonder why all the firefighters and nurses are all willing to take a stand on the issue, doesn't it? Or are they all selfish too?
when you say
all do you mean the 6% of healthcare workers that aren't vaccinated yet?
it is a small minority that don't want to get vaccinated....most of them were vaccinated back in February when they were the first group of people eligible to be vaccinated. They don't
have to get it, but the hospital doesn't
have to employ them either.....
Which is thousands. 3,000 NY firefighters alone. Who knows how many nurses, not counting the one's who've already walked away.
This isn't about anti-vax, it's anti-mandates. This administration is far overstepping it's authority and trying for more. At least 5 states are suing them over illegal mandates at this point. OSHA doesn't have the authority to implement these measures.
Everyone has had the opportunity to get the vaccination. If you are not vaccinated, that should be your choice. If you are, then you shouldn't have to worry, right? Why the mandates and fines and loss of employment? Either the vaccine works or it doesn't. If it works, you're protected as well as everyone else. If it doesn't work, why are they forcing people to take it?
This isn't about protecting people, it's about control.
do you realize vaccine mandates have been around for centuries? people act like this is the first time this has ever happened?? Most of those people fighting this vaccine have over 20 vaccination shots by the time they were 5 years old....many of them MANDATED to enter public school.....
the unvaccinated make up 95% of the hospitalizations which have pushed many hospitals to the brink and have cost US tax payers BILLIONS of dollars....you are clueless if you think tis is just about YOU and YOUR freedoms and some sort of bizarre "govt control" conspiracies
