The only way the ROI of drafting him is there if if he became a really good KOR/punt returner. Seems like he's far, far away from that.
I think you give him through 2022 and then cut him if something substantial doesn't change.
Thing is, he return exactly 4 punts in college, and no kickoffs, so even that is a learning curve.
Though he did have 21 yrd average on those 4 returns, so there may be hope.
NFL is not setup for learning curves there is someone who is ready to stepup and take your job if your not cutting it. So far tutu has been giving starting punt return and kickoff duties and has seen both of those taken away by lower drafted guys like funk, skrownek, Howell, Kupp, etc.
Agreed. My comment was meant more as a criticism. Disliked the pick then, not feeling any better about it now. Don't expect him to see year 4 of his contract. .
