They prioritized his pro day if memory serves, right after the trade up was completed. I think Shanny wanted Jones because he was the most pro-ready and had shown some quick processing through reads. The others had higher ceilings but were more question marks than Jones was.

But at some point they felt they had to prioritize the ceiling, which is understandable. What is great for us here is that IF that was the case, that Shanny liked Jones, then he may be irritated with the 9ers front office for not having the resources to compete with the Rams for Stafford then steering him to a QB that doesn't help him in the first year or two.

So here's hoping the knives keep coming out and the end result is Shanny is fired or quits and works some sort of severance agreement. Because I want to see those clowns in the basement for a while.
