It was delusional to ever think the defense would be number one again. Just does not happen in back to back years. A clear work in progress but with them working Rochell in now and Hollins returning later there is every reason to think they can be better in November and December than they are now.
Special teams was bottom 3 a year ago and even with the mistakes Thursday night overall they are better than that. Just not as good as they should be. I want special teams out of the bottom 10 or 12 in the league and I will be ok with that. I always say a Super Bowl team does not need to be top 10 in everything but they also cannot be bottom 10 in anything.
But overall, yes. No one should complain about being 4-1 after this early schedule. Winning at Seattle, let alone on a short week, is never ever easy. They are a top 5 team in the league. We should appreciate and enjoy it. Long way to go. But great start overall.
