are they even playing? It's how they are being used...it has to be....cuz those guys always showed up in some form last year. Now, I don't even see them on the screen.
Meanwhile, Rapp and Long are fading. imo
I think Burgess is a very good cover safety and Nickel/CB.....and is much better natural feel for the passing game than Rapp. imo
Long has always been just "meh" in coverage and never...never plays the ball that I've seen. I dislike CBs that have no ball awareness.
Also, I'd try getting Rochell more reps too.
I sure miss Staley and if I'm McVay, would poach the most promising D position from the Chargers staff in a year or two .
Unless, this was just a very bad anomaly from the defense and offense on the same Sunday. I like Morris as a strong position coach...but maybe not the type of strategic Xs & Os DC we need.
