almost the entire 'greatness' of what Stafford brings to the Rams, or at least we hope he does... his reads. Those first 3 games I don't think you can say 'primary' in the text book sense of the term. Stafford, to me anyway, KNEW who was most likely to be open at the snap... no matter who was deemed 'primary' in the huddle.
It's actually what I believe mostly makes Stafford an upgrade over Goff... not his arm, his reads... his ability to go to the huddle primary, or at the snap shuffle the primary and 2nd read, and for that matter the 3rd 4th and 5th progression. - JamesJM
