He's gotta beat him this year, no doubt about it. We have to at least split the games. But Shanny's offense is built to take out defenses like ours with run game and receivers who are interchangeable RB and physical runner types who can take underneath routes all day and do something with them.
It's not unlike Fisher having the right talent mix to have Seattle's number. He had a DL that could squeeze that pocket and contain Russell which is where he's weakest. But those wins over Seattle didn't mean a thing when Seattle is going deep playoffs and bringing home hardware.
I don't think fans realize that team makeup, the talent on the field and how it matches up, is what drives so much of this. So they see Shanny beat us and want to crown him. What they don't see is that offense struggling vs defenses that take away the underneath.
For this season we are in WAY better shape than the whiners for a deep playoff run. We're gonna win this division. Even with our problems that we nuke because we watch every aspect of our team. And we're gonna be the team that is making that run. Not the 9ers. And I know that because we are so improved at QB while the 9ers still are relying on a QB who can turn into a football dispenser as soon as he gets hit enough.
