I heard it too and was very excited that not only did I get a second mention for "Jourdan's Tortured Metaphor of the Week" but also her recognition for this community.

I want to be very clear - I love her metaphors and really look forward to them. And some of them are really not all that "tortured." But I pretty much always tease her about them because in my family gentle teasing is how you show affection.

She is the best beat writer we have had in my lifetime and, like many, I am mostly just worried about how long we will keep her. She is that good and the sky is the limit for her potential-wise in sports media.
