The worst team gets the biggest advantage to add players through drafting, waiver wires, and in some ways FA. The league has been about parity for decades, and I think it works awfully well.
That said, the worst teams (and the Jags) have to do things right; pick up the right players and the right coaches and install the right systems. And have the patience to rebuild brick on brick. Hopefully the Jags' idiot owner stays FAR away, doesn't interfere with any part of the football operation, and just sends money.
That said, I'm not at all sure Meyer was their best choice. He's quit everywhere he's been, and his temperament seems to lead to health issues. And the NFL isn't college. Although in college, he's won everywhere he's been.
It'll be interesting. I think he has an awful lot to learn about being an NFL HC. Nick Saban never could come to terms with it, and you don't get much better than Saban.
