Sometimes change is needed. Other times change comes for no other reason than change. And often, in business, that change becomes a detriment and smart businesses admit their error and go back to what always worked.
I don't recall any fans complaining that the traditional Rams helmet horns were dated and needed to be modernized by the Chinese Nike company. This is nothing but a brain f@rt of a team of marketers who make their living by making changes. Sometimes someone (Kroenke?)has to intervene and swim upstream to point out that the Emperor has no clothes while everyone is applauding him for his fine robes.
Yes, Mr. Dickerson, the new horns do look like 2 bananas.
Agree with most of what you say Rock, but I put more blame on @#$%&. He is the one who "approved" the new design. As much as I dislike Nike, they were somehow able to do the Watts Rams uni just fine. How many of us would have been happier with the Watts uni than what @#$%& chose?
That only leaves one person to blame.

“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
