It's all WCO too btw. Not just "McVay's system." The Erhardt system is probably the most modern in terms of phonetic efficiency and probably will for that reason end up being the predominant system at some point in the future. They all can run the same routes. You can tailor all of them structurally however you want. So nowadays it's just a terminology thing and there are a lot of players who still know it and all that not to mention some of the best coaches on offense come up in that system.
But again it's archaic. Really inefficient. And you can't blame McVay for that, well I guess you can but that makes zero sense.
