Hummmmm. I have been challenged on this point. Many felt it was simple. Made it easy for QB. Now that Stafford is guy it's complicated. Ok. If they say so. Says a lot about how Matt is impacting this offense or does it?
I think it says a lot about inconsistent sports reporting!
Being a qb-friendly offense just means, IMO, that play design schemes receivers open and exploits defensive tendencies. Or since all teams do that to one extent or another, McVay tries to maximize it. His passing game is set up around forcing defenders to make the wrong choice.
I have no idea what people mean by a complicated offense, unless it has a lot of option routes, like the Patriots with Brady. But then it's just as complicated for the receiver as it is for the qb.
I am not sure why anyone would call the Rams offense "complicated." Maybe it is from a defensive player's viewpoint. But that doesn't mean the qb has complicated choices on every play.
