and I agree with the random nature of of a full game...that's why I was fine with one of them....but these guys have been playing the game of football
(peewee, HSA, college, + pro seasons) for
5-10 years at this point. They know what football is and the speed it's played at the pro level. The controlled scrimmages can be tailored to focus on what the HC thinks needs the most work and is very situational. I think that's enough for the purpose of learning and minimizing the chance for injury. I know injuries can happen anytime anywhere...but playing less games
does matter to the body and health of the player.
I just think less is more in this case.
