I was comparing 13 year Stafford
to both 5th year Goff and 5th year Stafford.
2 years within the frame of the first 5 years is not the same
as 9. More. Years. To be honest I would have thought that was obvious.
And as is normal with a lot of exaggerated Goff criticisms, there's some selective memory and hyperbole there. There are games in 2020 where they won because of Goff. Like the Tampa game (51 passes that game, the Rams could not run the ball). Like the Seattle playoff game, on the road coming off the bench injured.
Goff had 4 bad games in 2020. So did Stafford in his 5th year (2013).
I don't get the point of all this hyperbole and selective memory. Stafford is a good qb. Acquiring him does not need to be defended by hyperbolically claiming Goff was worse than the was.
