It's one thing to make a big trade for a guy who's played lots of games and has a lot of film. And that played big-boy football and not in a lesser division. It's another to take a guy who's played so few games, and the last time he even played football was in 2019! And you give up 3 first round picks to get him?
I'll tell you this much. If Shanahan gets this right and this kid does become great, then he deserves a lot of credit.
That said, I still think that 4 years from now it'll be the Patriot's pick of Mac Jones that even outshine Lawrence.
And, I predict if Trask lands in a good spot, he'll be a superior pro as well.
