I'm actually one of the bigger believers in John Wolford.
For not having any NFL experience, I thought the Wolf played great against Arizona after his interception.
For a green backup NFL quarterback with no NFL starts, he showed me he was worth betting on.
In my eyes he had better peripheral vision and was able to read defenses better than Jared Goff.
I know it was too small of a sample size to firmly believe that but I did.
After the he led the Rams to a victory over the Cardinals, I was on the start Wolford over Goff at Seattle bandwagon.
I was very happy when McVay named Wolf the starter.
He had his nothing to lose reckless moments against the Cardinals and I believed he would be smarter against Seattle in his first playoff game.
That wasn't the case. Wolford continued his aggressive (I can do things with my legs and don't need slide antics) at Seattle.
Ouch! Wolford wasn't even able to finish the first quarter after Jamal Adams punished him for his aggressive careless style.
If he played smarter and didn't get hurt against the Hawks, I believe the Rams would've won that game and he would've been named the starter at Green Bay.
The Wolf is not big or strong enough to take too many of the running quarterback risks in the NFL. He's a gamer and I'm glad he's our backup to Stafford.
He paid for his carelessness last postseason and hopefully he learned the hard way if he's called upon again to start a couple of games should Stafford not be available.
