In Football especially as a QB you better get down or your going to get Trucked. I remember Roman Gabriel at 6-4 and after nearly a decade in the NFL got up to 230-235 would take on LBs Full Speed.
It may be a little different now but he would have the same Programs now, Trainers, Lifting, Nutrition available to him. But you will have a longer career at QB not asking for it. Those injuries will pile up and you will pay for them especially later in life.
But thats how they played then it was open season on QBs who could be popped like paper bags.
So Im sure QBs like Gabriel, Kapp and Bobby Douglas (FB Playing qb) if they could get some revenge on some Defensive Players they would and they did. Some Bear Players on Defense said they didnt look forward to tackling that Bull of a QB in Bobby Douglas. Some Coaches wanted to convert him to Defense.
