The more I consider Molden... If you take him (who can help us) you have a guy who can't really move outside when you want to throw Jalen into the slot. So having a true slot type puts a limit on what we did schematically last season.
The guy is a player but when you consider the above plus the fact Burgess was mentioned for the slot after the draft and the fact they have Long in-house as well as the fact they should be able to get slot later than 57 it seems like those things make the drafting of a pure slot type unlikely with our round two pick. And btw I'm not a big fan of Long or Burgess. Neither really stood out to me. But contrast all that vs 5T where we lost Brock and an important rotation piece in Fox and we're basically depending on Robinson who IMO is a risky guy to depend on.
And it's not just 5T either we do have those other needs like OLB and C as well. I would not be surprised if they picked him just based off his film and ability but there's a lot of logical reasons IMO for them to not go that route.
Completely agree on your Molden take. Fine player but not the best Ram fit at 57.
I’m a much bigger Burgess fan than you are. Morris has to decide which position will be Burgess’ best Ram fit. I think he’s gonna shine at either S or nickel. Pick one and draft for the outside CB position.
I think we’re in better shape on that DL than you do. Rams are pretty high on their 4 guys for promotion behind the starters. Otherwise, they would never have let Fox and Brockers get away. I do agree that Robinson needs to really step up this year.
My biggest need is at WOLB. Has been for weeks. I would REALLY prefer not to have to limp through a season of wannabe’s that can’t stay healthy over there. Problem is that the WOLB value might not be there at 57 or 88. Sigh...
