I understand your ifs and that's fine. However I can't agree that lb is a bigger need than lt and maybe center (depending on how the rams really feel about the current guys). But let's assume the center replacement is on the roster. The reason I think LT takes precedence over olb is that I like the guys they have at olb and the importanceof the position. Obviously LF will be one olb but I also like Lewis and Collins. In contrast the only potential replacement for AW is noteboom and he's been average at best AND is a fa next year. Plus I dont think you can make this investment in stafford and not make sure he's protected. That being said I'd they do go olb I don't think ots a "wrong" decision.
Nice reply, PHD.
First let me say that we are all pretty much on the same page among the 5 positions as to Ram ‘need’. All are probably in the ‘one year early’ category.
We just have different takes on the acceptability of current WOLB roster players. I think it’s a greater need than you do.
But I won’t fall out of my recliner if any of the 5 listed positions is the pick at 57. All would make sense and all would have good Ram value. Whichever player the Rams prefer is fine by me.
