Agreed. The above is definitely part of the calculus. It's not all on McVay. The one game with Wolford where he took 9 deep shots is enough evidence that the lack of a deep game was partially on the QB.
McVay has stated that they ran the same offense with same deep opportunities for Wolford. Rodrigue has reported that the Wolford game is what opened McVay's eyes to wanting to move on from Goff.
