McVay's offense is predicated on two things: speed on the outside and a running game. Last year he needed to look in the mirror when defenses started walking up on his offense, because no one respected the Ram's deep passing game. I am a huge Mcvay Fan but when Cooks was gone and he replaced him with route runners, Goff's problems magnified, teams were able to cheat, and our line looked over powered, our running backs looked slow as did our receivers.
