It's the same org. Same family ownership. I've lived in the Detroit area for a very long time and even 20 years ago local pundits stated that the team would be mediocre as long as it's owned by the Fords. When I got here their coach was Wayne Fontes. He'd be about 8-8 each year more or less. They got rid of him because he wasn't able to take them further. A few years later the fans were all wishing they kept him!

As Nicecatch delineated this teams history is filled with management and coaching failure. Talent leaves this team.
No one should give this new face the benefit of the doubt. This team is just a toy for rich people and they don't take it seriously.
