It's not the same organization. Different owner (starting as of Junes 2020), different GM, different head coach.
I don't know how many GMs and head coaches ago it was when Sanders and then Johnson played for the team. Sanders at least was 2 owners ago. Johnson's Lions had 2 different owners. It's all the same family but different individuals. No one can judge the newest owner yet, but, she did hire Holmes.
Everything you say about the Lions was true of the Rams in 1997, at least it was when they went on their long losing streak in 1990 under Georgia. They were not a winning team again until 99.
