We are comparing the lions with the Rams? .
Not really no. I was pointing out a situation we are familiar with where poor management and poor ownership (Georgia, Shaw) nevertheless led to a turnaround.
And here's what I said already about the entire "a Ford is a Ford" thing, and I am not going going to be budging much from that. I said, in my first post in this thread,
"It's not the same organization. Different owner (starting as of Junes 2020), different GM, different head coach....It's all the same family but different individuals. No one can judge the newest owner yet, but, she did hire Holmes."Neither one of us knows which view will turn out to be right. For you, all family members are identical when it comes to owning football teams. For me, it's possible that the new owner and new management can be different from the past.
Your right things could change and the Lions somehow could be run by a ford and have massive success. History is not on your side though and the track record speaks for itself. Unless the Lions physically move they are not going to be a desirable market for talented multimillionaires. The Ford family has a very extensive track record of failures in pro football and management decisions. The lions failures are so steady you could set a clock to it. One playoff win under Ford owners enough said and they have owned the team since 1963. Five years prior they were NFL champions in 1957.
