Stats are nice and give a frame of reference.

It's the study of game film that tells the whole story as long as the student understands the concepts necessary for interpretation.

Sean McVay is a student of the game. He knows what he is seeing when he watches film. He also knows what he wants from his QB. The investment the Rams made to acquire Stafford speaks volumes more than any stats.

But if the Rams fail to upgrade the offensive line, I rescind all confidence I have in this braintrust. I'm just a stubborn old man who believes it all starts with the OLine.

Did he compare Stafford's first 5 years to Goff? Stafford was worse. A turnover machine. Is it impossible that Goff could also get better like Stafford did?
