Why assume the unlikely.

IMO they know what they have in Shanahan.

And beyond that (IMO also) the odds of McV taking a back seat to KS are not likely.

Plus of course if for some strange reason SF lets KS go, he's just immediately on the list to be a head coach elsewhere.
