McVay goes back and watches some film, then wonders heck, why can't we run a scheme like that when we need to runout the clock, or simply pound it in from the 2yd line, or simply move the sticks for a first down.

Well if he doesn't know how to say "hey Aaron let's do what the 9ers do against us running the ball," then, he has very deep-seated problems.

I would also assume he knows AK could do anything they asked him to do in terms of a running scheme, because he already has.

So odds are very great that whatever the reason for the departure was, it had nothing to do with the scheme, or changing it. AK already changed his scheme when he came to the Rams in the first place.
