I was actually thinking is was more 'want to' than 'able to'. As in ...

McVay "hey Aaron let's do what the 9ers do against us running the ball,"

Kromer "yeah, I could do that. But I think it's a really dumb way to go"

(Well, probably not that black-and-white ... but a philosophical difference at some level.)
