No the "come to their senses" reference by PHDram was the hope expressed by some fans that, since the cap is/was projected to go up in future years, the number would be much higher with them spreading the losses out over several years in a more even way to avoid a steep decline this year.
But it looks to me like they ARE spreading the impact out over future years. It would have been really low this year - shockingly low IMO at $160M - if they weren't doing that.
Yes, and, we knew they were--the hit is not all on 2021, it's spread out. Given that I expect the new network contract to raise the cap
even with those spread out losses.
