Under this deal Floyd would only play for 4 years. Note that the salary for both '25 and '26 is zero: they exist as void years as a mechanism for pushing the cap hit of the contract beyond Floyd's playing days. (And if I understand the way this works the cap hits for both '25 and '26 would go against the '25 cap as $10M in dead money.)
