Mond wasn't that great of a college QB. He had a good team around him and good coaching. I saw him play several games throughout his career and I saw him as inconsistent, not particularly accurate or a particularly strong arm, and overall so-so. He just never quite became what the promise seemed to be as a Freshman.

Anyway, as I said in another post, when you are bringing in Goff, you don't say publicly..... strongly...... that heck yeah they are open at QB with their first picks if you are committed to him. Would they do that if they had acquired Watson? Rogers? Russ Wilson? Of course not. They'd be emphatic that they have their guy, just like the Rams say that about Stafford. It would be all about respect. So Holmes can say whatever he wants, but this isn't how you say "Goff is our guy". And Holmes isn't dumb.

Agreed. I thought of that, but what does this say to Goff?

Rams should be looking for another QB
