This is predicted to be the biggest FA cut EVER with teams having $20mm less cap than last year.
There will be good players out there that need to take pay cuts. Teams with cap room can upgrade more than ever this year.
That said restructures tend to kick the can of dead money for the future. No guarantees the cap will go up (if stadiums continue to be half empty or TV ratings drop). No guarantees the players will perform through their contracts. Rams don't have the best track record here.
I like and appreciate the win now mentality. Just need to get there Sean... Make it happen.
Have to wonder if, with the cap expected to be significantly lower this season, some younger players might opt for modest one-year deals in 2021 in order to increase their profile on a winning team to cash in on more lucrative contracts in 2022 when the cap figures to be higher?
