If they really believe this is the window, they need all the cap they can get.
This is predicted to be the biggest FA cut EVER with teams having $20mm less cap than last year.
There will be good players out there that need to take pay cuts. Teams with cap room can upgrade more than ever this year.
That said restructures tend to kick the can of dead money for the future. No guarantees the cap will go up (if stadiums continue to be half empty or TV ratings drop). No guarantees the players will perform through their contracts. Rams don't have the best track record here.
