So, all this data reflects the due diligence I hope the Rams are doing en route to building the best OL they can. I'm glad you guys opened my eyes!
Clearly, there's no Dwight Stephenson, Jim Langer, or Mike Webster out there among FA centers. Maybe not even an Andy McCollum, performance-wise, given what Martin is sure to seek in his next contract.
In any case, Stafford is their new crown piece... I maintain that keeping him upright and his uniform clean ought to be their No. 1 priority on the offensive side of the football. If this means using No. 57 on a pit bull-like C who they can plug-and-play, who is a sure upgrade over Blythe, so be it.
Then the Rams should use their FA $$$ for offense on low-hanging fruit such as WRs who will come in for one year max and augment our corps of whoever's retained... Jefferson will be back, obviously, either/or Kupp/Woods (or both??)... guys like Marvin Jones, who of course has a fine history with Stafford... Nelson Algohor comes to mind... Willie Snead... I like the upside of Rashard Higgins CLE, who ought to be hitting his prime soon.
Go, Rams!
