I don’t know what Hav’s Ram future looks like for sure. Could go either way, depending on how Rams rate his overall value when factoring in his cost.
Ram ARE cash strapped, to say the least. And Hav does have a weakness in pass pro which causes a cascading effect requiring too much TE help which reduces targets plus reduces QB time to read D and attack it.
All due respect to PFF, but Hav is a great run blocker but an overall mixed bag. He is NOT a ‘must have’ core player that the Rams need for a SB run.
I think he would fetch a helluva lot more than a 6th or 7th AND the cap savings might make possible a better quality FA at C or Edge, either being more needed than a Hav over Boom at RT.
Look, I’m not pounding the table for trading Hav, but I am saying that the Rams should at least consider it among a thousand other things. Based on what I’ve seen, I’m currently inclined to trade away Hav for a pick and the cap savings that could be better used elsewhere.
