Woods is every bit the player as Jones. It's just that they are different kinds of players.
The Rams are NOT going to let Woods go. A bird in the hand.. and all that. Guys like Woods don't grow on trees. He's a top WR in the league and is good in all facets of the game. He is maybe the best blocking WR around.
Jones is a wet dream. Forget it. The guy is going to demand at least $8 mil per year plus a decent signing bonus. He might come to the Rams on a deal that is cap friendly for the 1st year. But still I have a hard time envisioning the Rams going that direction. They need a much cheaper alternative.... and they'll find it.
Look. When what you need to make the team better is the addition of a deep threat, you don't subtract something very good somewhere else. You go find that deep threat. Same thing on the Oline. The thing they need is an upgrade at Center. They're in good shape everywhere else. So Center is the thing they'll go after. So they need the addition of two things ONLY on offense: a deep threat and a Center. They have the QBs, RBs, and TEs. They have everything in their WR arsenal but a deep threat. Deep WR and a better Center are quite doable without diminishing another part of the offense.
