If, over the next 4 years, Stafford remains their QB and the make the playoffs all 4 years, Make it to the Divisional championship game twice (even if they lose) and they win one super bowl, then they are better.
If they do slightly less than that, then they are the same.
If they do much worse than that, then they are worse.
If it's strictly about Stafford and no one else, then I don't see any other way you can look at it. Otherwise we just go back to the... There's not a good enough OL. There's no deep threat. The running game was gone for 2 years. Those debates are not provable for either side.
