I think what will become clear as day is that no, that was not true.

The Rams had several problems on offense in 2020.

Yes Goff had 4 bad games, to name one thing.

And the OL got beaten badly in 5 other games that resulted directly in losses. In 5 games the OL was overwhelmed by a defensive attack that went after them and they couldn't handle it. For that I count both SF games, the Miami game, the Jets game, the 2nd Seattle game, and the Green Bay game. The combination of the 2020 OL and McVay's problems with certain kinds of defensive attacks combined to stymie them. Goff even played well in the 2nd half of the Jets game and in the Green Bay game in spite of what was going on around him.

Then there are the issues with McVay and redzone scoring. This was in spite of Goff being good in the redzone.

One of our big negative memories for 2020 should be the 2 games in a row--Seattle then Arizona--where the Rams could get nothing when they were right on the goal line. That's with 2 different qbs. I think they got 3 points out of 3 offensive goal line stands.

If they don't improve in those areas, then, the offense will be holding Stafford back in a lot of ways.
