There's no doubt that Stafford is a better pocket passer than Goff. imo
No doubt. Whether one likes the cost or not...the Rams will have a better QB next year.
Stafford's arm strength alone is night & day better than Goff...and Stafford is a bit more athletic in & out of the pocket. imo
I thought McVay would go more of an athletic/mobile type QB like Watson...but McVay went for another pure pocket passer type in Stafford.
When it comes to pocket passers, Stafford is way up there. Rodgers woulda been an insane get for us...but Stafford is a great second option if yer gonna stay pocket passer types.
The price was steep....but the price is always steep for good players. The Rams are in to win NOW...and have a good enough team to make a run next year.
