will get you into a cap hell eventually. I see the idea of getting known NFL ability over the dice roll of a rookie, but at the same time the amount of money can leave you with no room but to drop players to stay within the cap. All your draftees are a teams safety net in regards to the cap, they cost less in that 1st contract then players like AD, JR, JG etc.....The trick of course is to hit on the highest % in your picks as you can.
Giving up 3 1st rd picks and taking on Watsons' salary to boot, forget about maybe being able to get a good deal on JG's money, it's just a trade off with Watsons' deal. Those 3 picks can really alter your cap space in those coming years. Looking at 1 maybe 2 SB appearances in the coming 2-3 seasons vs. being viable and in the chase for a prolonged period of time. That seems to me to be the issue.
Getting Watson may push us to the top, and they BETTER do it because IMO these windows opening and closing have a lot to do with how you handle the draft, giving away your top picks year out and year in actually costs a lot more money than going by way of the draft for your prime players.
