I can understand disappoint that Goff was not able to overcome our Offense the past couple years to get us to a SB
How does that equal him as the reason or problem.
When Rams lost to NE in SB. No one faulted Warner. They faulted Martz for not running Faulk.
When Warner started playing dinged up they faulted Mike Martz for not protecting him. Martz faulted Warner and then enter Marc Bulger. Offense continued to click until it was clear that Bulger was never the answer and we then moved on from Martz.
By the way Martz was one of the most success PLAY CALLERS I have seen related to passing game. He could make almost any QB productive.
Fans can scapegoat as can teams and coaches but when the magic turns to vapor it usually in the end falls in the laps of the decision makers.
Rams paid Goff what he was worth even if too early. Who is to blame?
Decision makers.
Goff faltering after losing run game support and ol consistency 2019 and losing deep threat and OL consistency 2020 and a new play calling scheme that was less aggressive and more focused on quick n shallow passing is not his call. Could he have executed better yes but so could his teammates who killed many great efforts on hi part and a play caller who often fell short.
History is likely to be kinder to Goff if he goes elsewhere then it will be for the decision makers who chose to move on from him.
Just ask Mike Martz. Jeff Fisher.
