I don't wanna make this a Goff conversation but it's clear that Les and Mcvay are fishing. So who will be the big catch ? I was just talking with someone who agreed that Goff is the perfect bridge qb. If you're not in position for a qb right now and your team is okay, Goff might be the guy to try and compete with or stay competitive with. I feel like teams in that category are:
1. Washington. Mcvay ties. They have the defense. Division is weak. Goff could take them to 9-11 wins. Strike while the iron is hot and the division is lowly.
2. Colts. Similar situation. Good receivers, good offensive line, competitive defense, and I don't think the jags and texans will be competing any time soon. Head coach helped Wentz. Why not Goff?
3. Chicago. Job saving season for Nagy and their GM. Same formula as the aforementioned 2. Better than Foles and Mitch.
4. Patriots. Goff is basically Jimmy with a better arm anyway, right?
5. Denver. They've needed a qb for years. Maybe them?
The other category: teams with dumpable qbs:
1. Houston. We already know this scenario. But houston could use a bridge qb since they don't have a first and will lose Watson.
2. Lions. I actually prefer stafford over Goff but I can see plenty of reason to hesitate.
3. Green Bay. Just not likely.
Point is though, there's plenty of teams who could take a chance on Goff. The way Snead and Mcvay have been talking, I think they've been on the phone with these teams.
Okay so who did I miss?
