It’s not a good theory at all. Never been done before and won’t happen now. Zero chance, iow.
I’ve got a better theory, not necessarily a good theory, but one that makes the most sense based upon what we’ve been seeing and hearing.
Namely, Rams have already made the decision to move on from Goff and they’re either putting the finishing touches on a trade mostly in place and/or have decided which draft pick they like the most.
Going with any QB currently on their roster seems very unlikely for next year. Snead dislikes gaping holes going into the draft, much less the season.
Well your theory has 2 flaws.
#1 is the projection flaw. Because you personally have this excessively harsh and unrealistic view of Goff, you assume they do too.
#2 is they're unrealistic and harsh theory. That is, they actually do have that view of Goff, in spite of all the holes in it, and in spite of knowing him first-hand.
I'm playing around.
Though in cases like this, we all tend to project ourselves on to the coach and GM and pretend that they see things absolutely the way we do.
