he certainly does know morris well but he also knows Pleasant well as hes worked with him over the last 4 years plus his time with the redskins. plus you have no idea if morris wnat to be a head coach again. in fact, i would guess he does and hooking up with mcvay is certainly a step in that direction. furhter i would argue that pleasant offers more stability then morris, pleasant coached in this system last year. morris did not. in fact we have know idea what system they plan on running. finally any guy who took the job would inherit ad and ramsey so thats really a moot point.

McVay knows Morris very well, so I doubt there was any hesitation when he had the chance to hire a former HC/OC/DC/LB/WR's coach over a DB coach. Morris will offer stability for more than 1 year (Staley) and basically take over the spot vacated by Wade Phillips. Morris has been in the NFL for a while, so he has no aspirations of being a HC again. Plus, he inherits AD and Ramsey.
Thus, Morris will be here for a few years and that will give us continuity with the defensive side of the ball. It's all good!
